Parvana Ibrahim Khel, a woman activist protest who was arrested about three weeks ago, has been released.
Sources close to Ms. Ibrahim Khel, who took part in a demonstration against the Taliban’s policies against women in Kabul last month, say she has now returned home.
Earlier, sources close to Tamna Zaryab Pariani, another woman activist protest, said she and her three sisters, who are being held by the Taliban, would be released soon.
The Taliban have not yet commented officially. Earlier, spokesmen for the group denied that the women had been detained by the Taliban.
