Well-known Turkish writer criticizes crackdown on women’s protests in Afghanistan and world silence
According to Events News; Prominent Turkish writer Elif Shafak tweeted that female protesters in Afghanistan were being physically abused.
The author of (Nation of Love) and several other novels have said that electrical devices and pepper spray cans are used to stop women’s protests in Afghanistan.
Criticizing the world’s response to the violence and the detention of protesting women in Kabul, Shafak said: “The silence of the international media is shocking.”
