The General Directorate of State-Owned Enterprises has announced that 151 foreign tourists visited the natural and tourist attractions of Badakhshan province during the second quarter of 1405.
The department also said that in recent years, the tourism industry in Afghanistan has grown significantly and the number of foreign tourists has increased.
According to the department, tourism development can play an important role in introducing the natural and historical attractions of Afghanistan, creating job opportunities and boosting the country’s economy.
Badakhshan is also considered one of the provinces with high tourism potential in Afghanistan, with its natural landscapes of mountainous areas and historical and cultural attractions.
