Ministry of Information and Culture: The cost of printing books for authors who cannot afford it will be paid
The Ministry of Information and Culture has announced that it will pay for the printing of books by authors who cannot afford them. The aim of this support is to encourage writers and the intellectual development of society, said Mohajer Farahi, the ministry’s deputy minister for publications, at a seminar in Nangarhar. He also emphasized the importance of the role of writers in raising awareness and educating the younger generation, saying that holding such programs can raise the level of thinking and awareness of society. The Ministry of Information and Culture’s Book Evaluation Commission is also responsible for reviewing works in terms of content, culture, and compliance with Islamic values and publication laws, and decides whether or not to publish books. In recent years, the commission has issued publication licenses for a number of domestic and foreign works.
