The Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the expansion of relations through sports diplomacy.

Referring to the cultural unity and historical relations between Afghanistan and the region, Amir Khan Mottaqi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, said that the Islamic Emirate wants to further strengthen Afghanistan’s relations with the world through sports diplomacy. Mottaqi made these remarks during a meeting with representatives of participating countries after the end of the traditional wrestling festival in Kabul. He also appreciated the presence of foreign representatives in the festival. Mottaqi also assured that efforts are continuing to provide visas and other facilities for athletes. The competition, which was held in Kabul for three days with the participation of about 160 athletes from Afghanistan and Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, ended with the announcement of the results in various disciplines. Uzbekistan won first place in the Kourosh discipline, Afghanistan won first place in the Rostami wrestling, and Tajikistan won first place in the wrestling.
