Reopening of girls’ schools in Paktia
Girls’ schools above the sixth grade have been reopened in the city of Gardiz, the capital of Paktia province, and Samkani district of this province.
Khaliqyar Ahmadzai, the head of information and culture of the Taliban in Paktia province, says that girls’ schools above the sixth grade in Gardiz city and Samkani district have been reopened based on the decision of the high school principals, and the Ministry of Education of the Taliban government has not said anything in this regard.
This is despite the fact that girls’ schools above the sixth grade have been closed for a year and the Taliban government has not yet made a decision about this
After regaining power in Afghanistan, the Taliban have always talked about working on the procedure for continuing education and work for girls and women in Afghanistan.
But after a year and a few months since coming to power, there is still no news of this procedure in other provinces of Afghanistan.
