The National Security Council office wrote in his Twitter page about face-to-face negotiation with the Taliban delegation and releasing of their prisoners that the Afghan government hosted a delegation from the Taliban delegation that arrived in Kabul on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in the presence of Red Cross representatives. The National Security Council said that the government and the Taliban delegations have discussed about the release of Taliban prisoners from Afghanistan’s prisons as well as the release of prisoners of the Afghan security forces. The Security Council added that there a development is seen regarding to Afghan government and Taliban negotiations about prisoner releasing of both sides. It’s going to be a meeting among them. Afghan government had a three times conference through a video call to negotiate about peace with the Taliban. A professional 3 member Taliban delegations were come to Kabul yesterday for transferring of prisoners. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said through a tweet message that the delegation would “pursue the process of release of prisoners and take the necessary measures in the technical part.” Earlier has been said that, the Taliban delegation, which is scheduled to arrive in Kabul, has 10 members, but has now it has been reduced from ten to three.
