Members of the leadership team of Afghanistan Journalists Union held a meeting with UNESCO representatives
The General Director of Afghanistan Journalists Union Hafizullah Barakzai, South East Zone Head Norwali Thabit Ahmadzai, North East Zone Head Syed Yasin Dehzad, Organizational Deputy Farooq Salangi and Administrative Assistant Mustafa Dost participated in this meeting.
In this meeting, problems and achievements of Afghan journalists were discussed and information was shared. In the beginning, Mr. Hafeezullah Barakzai, the General President of Journalists’ Union, presented the problems of journalists in the country to Mr. Qureshi and Mr. Safi Sahib, representatives of UNESCO. He gave comprehensive information about this and requested to arrest the journalists.
Apart from this, Nooruli Ahmadzai shared her information about the problems of the south-east zone and the needs of the media with the UNESCO officials and asked them to support the media in this zone and in the whole country.

And then the problems of the North East zone were also shared by Mr. Dehzad
In the meeting, the representatives of UNESCO presented their information on the existing problems and assistance in addition to their cooperation in some provinces and promised to continue their cooperation.
In the end, both sides mentioned the importance of the involvement of Afghan journalists and media.
