Afghan Red Crescent Society distributes cash aid to 1,000 needy families in Kabul

Today, Wednesday, January 24, 1404, the Afghan Red Crescent Society distributed cash assistance to 1,000 refugee families returning from Iran and Pakistan. According to Sheikh Al-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, the process of providing assistance to families returning to the country will continue in 18 provinces of the country. He reminded that in the past year, cash assistance and winter packages have been distributed to 20,000 families who have returned to the country from Pakistan and Iran. Mr. Delawar also announced the start of the process of distributing land to returnees in some provinces, including Kunar, Kandahar and Nangarhar.

Officials of the International Federation of the Red Cross also said at the distribution ceremony that they will continue their cooperation with Afghanistan. According to Faisal Hessam, the head of the Red Cross Society, the people of Afghanistan are facing numerous problems and the Red Cross will continue its cooperation with the Afghan Red Crescent Society.

Hafiz Abdul Qadeem Abrar, spokesman for the Afghan Red Crescent Society, said: “This aid has been distributed accurately and based on a transparent survey to returnees who were truly deserving. According to him, the amount of this aid for each family was 20,000 in cash, which will continue in the future.”

The program stated that returning immigrants are a priority for assistance.
