Afghan girls were also excluded from the entrance exam
The examination department added that it is not responsible for the selection of participants for the entrance exam and “it is the work of the Ministry of Higher Education who will take the exam and who will not”.
It was predicted that girls may not be able to participate in the entrance exam, because the Taliban have closed universities to girls. Similarly, schools are closed for girls above the sixth grade.
Girls had participated in the entrance exam last year, but the Taliban had imposed restrictions on the choice of subjects for girls.
It should be noted that the first round of this year’s entrance examination will be held in the provinces of Bamyan, Baghlan, Paktia, Takhar, Jawzjan, Khost, Faryab, Logar, Daikundi, Sarpol and Ghor on the 29th and 30th of Cancer
