A tailoring workshop was established at the personal expense of a girl who missed school in Velang, Bamyan province, and work was provide for women.

Rababeh Vahid, who created this workshop with his personal expenses, has now attracted fifteen other women in this workshop in addition to his family members. According to Ms. Rababe, she learned sewing at home and now she shares her learnings and experiences with others.

Maryam, one of the girls participating in this workshop, says that this is a good opportunity for girls to be saved from worry and stress and learn sewing and earn money in a completely female place. According to him, with the prosperity of the sewing business, he can also provide for his family.

Zakia, another lady who participated in this workshop, wants the attention of people, businessmen and capitalists to support them and invest in the workshop.

Ms. Vahedi, who is in charge of the workshop, has decided to expand her work in other areas and hire other women as well.
This is while recently imposing some restrictions against women’s education and activities, they suffer more from staying at home. Creating such workshops can reduce psychological and economic pressures on women.
