In a special ceremony, the Union of Private Schools in Kabul praised the medalists of the 14th round of the Young Scientists Scientific Competition by presenting medals, prizes and statues.
More than 30,000 students from 160 schools of the 6th and 13th districts participated in this competition, and they competed in two rounds. This competition, which has been held for fourteen years,

Government officials also said that efforts are underway to strengthen educational and scientific centers and Afghanistan needs committed and expert human resources. They emphasized that the west of Kabul is a role model in the field of education
The organizers of this competition said that the interest of students and families in scientific competitions has increased. Last year, about 19,000 students participated, and this year, 30,000 students participated, and the scores have increased by 30%. Mohammadreza Faramarez, the head of the organizing committee for this ceremony, said that the purpose of organizing these competitions is to identify the best talents and encourage students.
In this ceremony, government officials also said that efforts are being made to strengthen scientific and educational centers for the growth and prosperity of Afghanistan. According to them, the west of Kabul is the pride of Afghanistan and a model for all private schools. Dr. Abdul Latif Nazari said that Afghanistan cannot achieve growth and development without specialized and committed youth. He said that the government is trying to develop institutions and scientific centers.
Harun Rasouli, head of the West Kabul Private Schools Union and head of the country’s schools union, said that West Kabul is a role model for the whole country in the field of education. He asked other schools to follow the example of Gharb Kabul schools in encouraging and appreciating students and teachers.
According to the participants, holding such competitions will encourage students and identify the best talent among them so that they will be more supported by their families and the government. Asadollah Saadati, one of the political activists, said that such competitions encourage students and their families.
