The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Free Journalists Union of Afghanistan and a health center

The officials of the Afghan Free Journalists Union signed a one-year memorandum of understanding with the officials of the Health Center (MDC) in a press conference in Kabul today, Wednesday, 28 Aqrab 1404, in the field of providing medical services to journalists and their families. This memorandum was signed to provide health services with 70% discounts for journalists and their immediate families (father, mother, brother, sister, wife and children).
Hojatullah Mujadadi, the head of the Afghanistan Free Journalists Union, says that signing this memorandum means cooperation and support and solving the economic problems of journalists. He adds: There are no restrictions for journalists in this memorandum; This means that every media employee can go to this hospital for treatment by presenting a journalist card. Mr. Mujadadi said that we have considered a 70% discount in every health sector. This discount is intended only for journalists who really deserve it and do not have to pay for their treatment in another hospital. He said: We are trying to ensure that international health organizations provide free services to journalists and their families.
Abdul Khaliq Mirzaei, the head of the communication department of the Health Center (MDC), says that our goal of signing this memorandum with the Afghan Free Journalists Union is to provide a service to the journalists who are really the hardworking and influential section of the society and reflect the voice of the people, and we consider this service to be our religious and patriotic responsibility. Mr. Mirzaei says that this health center used to provide mostly disabled people and internally displaced people with financing; In the current conditions of economic problems; I want to serve other people by signing these agreements.
On the other hand, a number of journalists say that many media workers are not able to treat their illnesses due to their economic incapacity, and the signing of this memorandum can provide the basis for treating their illnesses.
Atanavid, one of the journalists in one of the media in Kabul, says: “The majority of journalists are struggling with economic problems, and when they have health problems, they cannot afford to pay for their treatment.” According to him, this program is very useful and valuable for journalists who have economic problems
Regina Nouri, a private media reporter, welcomed the signing of this memorandum and said: “This program is very beneficial for journalists. From now on, journalists can treat themselves and their families at this hospital with a special discount. We appreciate those who created this initiative.”
It is worth noting that “MDC” health center began to operate in 1999, and the services of this center are mainly in general internal medicine, dental, obstetrics and gynecology, physiotherapy, orthopedics, general surgery, pediatric internal medicine and has a well-equipped laboratory. This health center provides health services for poor people and people from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
