Turkish and Afghan security officials meet in Tehran

On the sidelines of the ECO meeting, the senior security deputies of Afghanistan and Turkey met. In these meetings, strengthening security relations between the two countries and combating any smuggling were emphasized. Mohammad Ibrahim, Senior Deputy Minister of Security Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, emphasized ensuring permanent security and combating smuggling. The Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior also said that the rate of human trafficking in Afghanistan has decreased by 50 percent in the past four years.

Abdul Matin Qane, spokesman for the ministry, said that in this meeting, the parties discussed and exchanged views on various security issues, bilateral cooperation, and strengthening the exchange of experiences.

. Mr. Qane said that this meeting, taking into account Islamic values ​​and common interests, was evaluated as an important step towards strengthening friendship and security cooperation between the two countries.

It should be said that Afghanistan and Turkey have had close historical and economic relations for a long time, and now it has been agreed that this cooperation will expand in various sectors.
