Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, announced that the earthquake that struck this morning in Samangan, Balkh and Baghlan has caused casualties and financial losses.
He wrote on his X account today (Monday, November 12) that the recent earthquake in Afghanistan has caused deep regret for the Islamic Emirate. “The earthquake in Balkh, Samangan and Baghlan has caused casualties and financial losses, which has caused our deep regret; we wish the martyrs paradise, a speedy recovery for the injured, and patience and a great reward for the survivors.”
The spokesman for the Islamic Emirate added that various government institutions are working to provide services and assistance to the affected.
At around 1:00 AM, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake shook northern Afghanistan. According to statistics provided by the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate, more than 20 people have died in the Balkh and Samangan earthquakes and nearly 320 people have been injured.
