More than 1,500 Afghan refugee families deported from Pakistan and Iran

.
Officials at the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates say that 1,565 Afghan refugee families have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan and Iran.
According to officials at the ministry, 1,478 families have been deported from Pakistan and 87 families from Iran.
Local officials said that the returnee families mainly include women, children and the elderly, and efforts are being made to ensure that they enter the country with minimal problems. The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates said that the process of registration, settlement and distribution of emergency aid is continuing to meet the basic needs of these families.
The return of Afghan refugees comes at a time when millions of Afghans have fled to neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan and Iran, due to war, insecurity and economic hardship in recent years. Many of these families live in camps and marginalized areas, facing numerous challenges, including limited access to education, health services and employment.
Social and economic experts warn that the forced return of refugees could put pressure on local resources, health services and the labor market, and requires long-term planning to support and rebuild their lives.
Pakistani police have intensified their crackdown on Afghan refugees in the country after Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered an acceleration of the deportation process.
